In Martin’s Lesson we where given a task to take an close up face image and try and make it seem like the face is facing two place instead of one in photoshop.
I Found this task to be a bit difficult due to the fact it was complicated then the other work/task we have done with martin.
But i got the job done as best as i could and think it came out alright.
For improvement i think i could of asked martin for more advise on how to do it properly.
This is my original Horror Poster. Every image and effect has been done primary.
I asked my fellow students if i could take a picture of their hands/arm, stretched out with they hands shaped like claws. Uploading them on Photoshop, i edited and made it look like the other horror poster image that i had taken from Google images.
Taking a plain piece of paper i draw a broken glass so i could use in my poster where the creepy face is in the middle.
For the finishing touch, i added the title, director, editor etc to make it look more as a movie cover poster.
Comment
The thing i like about this is the fact that its all been done Primary other then Secondary.
Development
To develop my poster i could have edited better so it looks more perceptional.
Horror Poster 2 – Portrait

This is my second Horror poster Portrait of my own to see how I do with creating a low-key lighting image by using 3 point lighting technic. For this picture to look scary and horrifying I used my own costume, hair and make-up. I let my hair down due to the fact that in all horror movies the antagonist always have they hair down and let loose to create more of a thriller face. On my eye’s I put on bright green contacts on my left eye and I put on royal blur spiked with black tips on the right eye, to make the eyes standout and look weird to create a more spooky and shocking look to it. For my face I create these blooded, peeled skin effect to make it realistic as well as show that the antagonist/girl is turned into something else, which gives the viewers a sence of fear which is what im going for due to the fact that in the horror genre it often concentrates on the audiences hidden fears and nightmares. After taking pictures in my Samsung camera, I uploaded them on the computer and then edited them on Photoshop.
I also copy and pasted an image from Google images to create that special effect, to make my poster more unique and different.
Then i added the title/heading, director, editor etc to make it seem more of a film/movie poster.
This is some of the things i have done in Photoshop over the start of the year. The first image is of Tyra Banks which I copied and pasted from google to Photoshop by holding the ‘Control’ key and pressing ‘N’ and Enter with-out taking my hands off the control key, then pressing the ‘V’ key to paste the image on Photoshop. After getting the image I used the method og vignette to make the main image to standout from the back ground.
The next image is a womans face pressed against a white sheet with her mouth open making it seem like a scary image or a frightened girl. For this image I just changed the colour balance to red because red represents blood and death making it more horror themed.
For the third image we learnt how to Text in Photoshop and change the font as well as colour them in unique different ways.
For the four and last image I coped and pasted an ordinary image from google and edited in Photoshop by changing the contrast, adding lighter and brighter colours that make the image more alive and colourful. I had changed the bottom where the people are having fun to the colour yellow making it more festive and fun. I added more blue to the sky to make it look like it’s in the summer time and made the Van pink to standout from the rest as the main image. Overall it came out like that and im very happy with the results.
My plan was to take pictures at home, using my own objects and props as well as costume, hair and make-up. Using my own samsung camera I took some pictures and edited the good one’s on Photoshop and messed about to create different types of ways it can look scary and match the background theme.
Using Photoshop CS6 I uploaded the images and edited to creat a more horror-like image. For these three images I used the Vignette technic to make the main object standout from the rest (background). I also used the colour balance to create different effects. For example the bottom one in burgundy red makes the image look more blooded and scary towards the audience and gives off a sence of suspense of wonder. The colour red also eye-catching so looks interesting for the viewers.
These images came out okay but I could improve it and edited a bit more as well as add other technic tools from Photoshop to develop the images and make it more realistic but overall I like what it came out as, as long as it gives the viewers a sence of what its ment to be or look like.
